My Career Journey

Beyond Leadership

In 2025, I moved from London to Thailand with my partner, Anan. The move was both a practical change and a personal transition, prompting me to think more deeply about what we choose to carry forward, what we are willing to let go of, and what we want the next chapter of our lives to look like.

My own practices of meditation, yoga and physical training have become an important part of that journey. Together, they have taught me the value of creating space, paying attention and becoming more aware of what is happening beneath the surface. Those practices continue to influence how I listen, how I work with clients and how I approach my own development.

I don't see personal growth and professional leadership as separate things. The way we lead is shaped by the way we see ourselves, the assumptions we hold and the choices we make when circumstances change. That connection between the person and the leader is one of the things I find most interesting about coaching.

I bring together the commercial realism of someone who has spent more than three decades in senior leadership with the psychological depth of a professionally trained executive coach.

My coaching is grounded in curiosity, challenge and reflection. I am interested in what sits beneath the presenting issue: the assumptions we make, the patterns we repeat, the stories we tell ourselves and the choices that become available when we see a situation differently.

I don't believe coaching is about giving people the answers. My role is to create the space to think more deeply, challenge what may be getting in the way, and help you see yourself and your situation with greater clarity.

My approach is evidence-based, while remaining highly individual. Every coaching relationship is different, and I adapt my style to the person, context and challenge.

A career shaped by people and leadership

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by people. Growing up, I often felt more like an observer than a participant, watching how people interacted, wondering why they behaved the way they did, and trying to understand the perspectives and motivations that shaped them. That curiosity has quietly run through every stage of my life and career.

Long before I became a coach, it shaped the way I led. Over more than three decades in international financial services, I held senior leadership roles across Europe and Asia, with responsibility for client-facing businesses, P&L management, strategic transformation and operational leadership. I delivered the commercial outcomes expected of me, but it was the people dimension of leadership that increasingly gave me the greatest sense of purpose.

I became fascinated by what enables individuals and teams to flourish, and by how thoughtful leadership can unlock potential in others. Some of the moments that have stayed with me most are not the commercial milestones, but the quieter ones: a colleague beginning to believe in their own capability, discovering confidence they didn't realise they possessed, or seeing a conversation fundamentally change how someone viewed themselves.

How I Work

If what you've read resonates with where you are, I'd welcome a conversation.

There is no obligation and no expectation that you have everything figured out before we speak. A conversation is often the best place to start: to explore what's happening, what you're considering, and whether coaching might be useful.

Get in Touch Today

I offer a private, 30-minute conversation to understand what you’re navigating and whether we would be a strong fit to work together.

This is not a sales call.

It is an opportunity to:

  • Speak candidly about the challenges or decisions in front of you

  • Gain an initial perspective on what may be most useful now

  • Understand how I structure executive engagements

  • Clarify next steps — whether together or otherwise

All discussions are strictly confidential.
